The Physics Department provides a high quality, affordable, and flexible education with extensive opportunities for student engagement. These include faculty coordinated research, involvement in teaching activities, and a nationally recognized chapter of the Society of Physics Students (SPS).

Your gift today will support the participation of CSU Physics students in the 2025 Physics and Astronomy Congress (https://students.aip.org/congress), the largest physics and astronomy student conference in the world, which will take place in Denver, CO in the Fall 2025. This unique event taking place ONLY every 3 years, allows students to interact with renowned scientists and Nobel Laureates, meet student peers from across the country, learn about various graduate programs, and receive valuable career guidance. Supported by the American Institute of Physics and hosted by the Sigma Pi Sigma, the physics and astronomy honors society, the Congress brings together students, alumni, and faculty for three days of frontier physics, interactive professional development, tours of physics research centers in Denver metro area, and networking. Many of our students that participated in the previous congresses (2016, 2019, and 2022) have described them as a life-changing experiences!
