Since July 2024, we have been celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Mandel Honors College at Cleveland State University, as well as the 20th anniversary of the Honors Program. Our theme for Giving Day this year is therefore the Power of 10!
All donations through this year’s Power of 10 link will go directly to Honors scholarships for current students, via the Michael and Joanne Schwartz Honors Endowment Scholarship Fund, created in honor of Michael Schwartz, former CSU President and founder of the Honors Program. We encourage you to give whatever you can, even if it is only $10!
For current student and particularly alumni who benefitted from the generous scholarships for your Mandel Honors education, please remember the Mandel Endowment covers only 20% of Honors scholarships. We rely on other funds, such as the Schwartz Scholarship Fund, to help fill the funding gap.
Keeping with our theme of the Power of 10, we encourage current students to give $10, and recent graduates who have just landed a job $20. For alumni 10 to 20 years out, we encourage you to donate $50 or $100, or to find your own Power of 10 as you acknowledge how much your Mandel Honors College education has benefitted you in your life and career trajectory.
Please pay it forward with whatever Power of 10 is in your means to keep scholarship dollars flowing for current and future students.
