The National Society of Black Engineers at Cleveland State University is looking for support to help fund our current year’s events!
We are proud to announce our chapter is alive and well! Every year we send 10-15 members to the Region 4 conference and look forward to attending the National Conference in the spring. These Conferences give young engineers the opportunity to gain career exposure early and attend workshops focusing on various technical and professional development topics as well as an exclusive career fair with nationally regarded companies. Here students seize the opportunity to capitalize on their hard work, further their education, and meet like-minded engineers within the community.
We are fundraising for both events and have a goal of $10,000!
This year in our Cleveland community, we plan to collaborate with the CSU African American Cultural Center and put together another engineered display for Black History Month this upcoming February. NSBE is also strengthening connections with the Case Western Reserve University Chapter, and this sense of community has already had great benefits for both of our groups.
These conferences and events are very important to the NSBE chapter of CSU, and we would like to attend these events; however, the cost exceeds our budget. Your gift to the National Society of Black Engineers at Cleveland State would be allocated towards transportation costs and accommodations for these conferences for all students interested in joining.
Good news, Cleveland State University Foundation (CSUF) and the National Society of Black Engineers is a non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of the state of Ohio and tax-exempt under section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Thank you for your support!
