The LGBTQ+ Student Center is committed to enhancing the overall educational experience of the CSU community. We provide resources, support, and educational programming that promotes the academic and personal growth and development of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning (+) students and their allies, work to assure unrestricted access to and full involvement in all aspects of CSU, and strive to create a more inclusive and welcoming campus climate for all students.
Your donation will go directly to our annual Lavender Graduation. Lavender Graduation is a special ceremony to celebrate LGBTQ+ graduates that was started in 1995 by Dr. Ronni Sanlo at the University of Michigan after she was denied the opportunity to see her children graduate due to her sexual orientation. While the first ceremony had only three graduates, it has since grown into a national movement that takes place at hundreds of universities across the country. Cleveland State University’s Summer, Fall, and Spring graduates are invited to participate and will receive rainbow cords to wear on graduation day.
Thanks in advance for your generosity and support!
