Our #GivingDay2023 focus at the Washkewicz College of Engineering, through our Fenn Academy, is on building the next generation of engineers.
The Fenn Academy is a consortium among Cleveland State University's Washkewicz College of Engineering, local school districts, and industry partners that collaborate in educational activities designed to encourage high school students to pursue post-secondary education and careers in engineering. Our goal is to increase our summer programming from 100 middle and high school students in 2022 to 1000 students by 2027. But to do that, we need your help. We will need at least $100,000 a year to support 1000 students.
To reach that goal, we need the support of individuals and corporation like you that will donate and work with the College of Engineering at Cleveland State. The corporations that donate, work with the college to ensure that students receive proper education and have up-to-date equipment to prepare them for the work in the in-demand fields.
The Fenn Academy’s mission is to collaborate with high schools in educational activities that stimulate and encourage students to pursue careers in engineering and technology; introduce high school students to college life; and educate the technical workforce for the region’s industry that hire engineers and computer scientists.
Thank you for your support in securing the successful future of our youth and the economic growth of our region!
