For over 50 years, CSU School of Music graduates have been changing lives throughout Northeast Ohio--the lives of K-12 students, students of all ages in community music schools, and countless audience members. As proud as we are of the work we do in classrooms, studios, and concert halls, we know that it's the 'good work' of our graduates that makes our world a better place.
How do our students become such influencers? The School of Music experience provides them with an integrated and engaged educational journey. They graduate with portfolios of practical experience through classroom teaching, composition workshops, and stirring performances.
The School is proud of its faculty, too. These honored musicians include Grammy winners, Cleveland Orchestra members, and highly awarded professionals in their respective fields. Through collaboration across the CSU campus and throughout Northeast Ohio, the School provides a learning experience that resonates for all.
Your generous gifts will:
- provide emergency support for students-in-need by paying external fees required in their course of study (background checks, portfolio creation, licensure exams, etc.)
- allow student ensembles to serve the Greater Cleveland community through visiting performances,
- support audio and video recording, live streaming, and accompaniment services for students’ concerts,
- help maintain and replace musical instruments students are able to use for free in their studies, and provide additional instruments so students can expand their skills even more.
- help replace outdated student music lab equipment.
