Dr. Kristine Gill is an associate professor emerita of nursing at The University of Akron, where she taught for 32 years before retiring in 2008. She also taught at Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine, Kent State University and Jane Addams School of Practical Nursing.
In addition to her 1978 master’s degree in vocational and higher education from CSU, she earned a teaching certificate in practical nursing. She holds a master’s degree in family health nursing and a Ph.D. in education, both from The University of Akron.
A founding member of the CSU’s School of Nursing Visiting Committee, Kristine and her husband, Richard, established an endowed scholarship for nursing students. This scholarship is awarded to students with demonstrated financial need in the “Traditional BSN” program who transfer as a rising junior. The scholarship can be renewable for the senior year
