The Urban Education Ph.D. program is designed to prepare persons capable of applying current methodology, research and knowledge to the problems of education in a contemporary urban society. Students in the program are, or intend to become, teachers, administrators or other professional personnel in schools, community colleges, colleges or universities; trainers in business or industry; allied health educators, professionals in social and community agencies; teacher educators; and educational policy planners.
Donations will support two competitive funding opportunities, first for doctoral students' research projects and second, for their professional travel. Using donations, students will be able to apply for small scholarships to buy needed software or provide incentives for participants or to support professional travel. Most students use their own money to fund such expenses. Donations will allow the Office of Doctoral Studies to support students' research and professional development directly.
Donations of all amounts are very much appreciated! Thank you for your support!
