Physics

The Physics Department provides a high quality, affordable, and flexible education with extensive opportunities for student engagement. These include faculty coordinated research, involvement in teaching activities, and a nationally recognized chapter of the Society of Physics Students (SPS).

Your gift today will support the participation of CSU Physics students in the 2022 Physics Congress (PhysCon), the largest physics student conference in the world, which will take place in Washington, DC in the Fall 2022.

This unique event taking place ONLY every few years, allows students to interact with renowned scientists and Nobel Laureates, meet student peers from across the country, learn about various graduate programs, and receive valuable career guidance. Hosted by the Sigma Pi Sigma, the Physics honors society, it brings together students, alumni, and faculty for three days of frontier physics, interactive professional development, tours of physics research centers in DC metro area, and networking. Many of our students that participated in the previous congresses (2016 and 2019) have described them as a life-changing experiences!
