The Student Public Interest Law Organization (SPILO) is a student organization that has been inactive for many years - until the Fall of 2019! SPILO has been revived at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and is working towards upholding the school's “Learn Law. Live Justice.” motto.
What is Public Interest Law?
Public interest lawyers work for legal service providers, nonprofits, and government agencies that focus their practice on helping low-income, marginalized, or vulnerable populations. Their work spans across a wide variety of issue areas, including domestic violence, racial equality, veterans’ rights, immigration, and more.
What We Have Done So Far:
Where We Can Go With Your Help:
We need your support to remain active in outreach and continue engaging the community. Your gift today will help using our efforts to foster diversity and inclusion in the work of the law school, and promote social justice. Your gift will also allow us to further our efforts of engaging our students in the best public interest law opportunities possible.
Please help us to engage 50 donors and raise $1000 to continue to make a positive difference in the lives of the people we serve. Thank you for your support!
