Chemical & Biomedical Engineering

The Washkewicz College of Engineering originated as Fenn College, a private institution founded in 1923, and has enjoyed a reputation for excellence long before the founding of Cleveland State University. The Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at CSU offers an undergraduate degree program in chemical engineering, and graduate programs in both chemical engineering and biomedical engineering.

Our undergraduate chemical engineering students enjoy the benefits of small class sizes, a lot of student-faculty interaction, recently renovated labs (including a 15-ft pilot-scale distillation column), active student organizations, and an accredited Cooperative Education program. Both undergraduate and graduate students conduct research with faculty mentors in modern research labs.

Our goal is to engage 50 donors to raise $1,500 in support of programs that directly benefit our students, faculty, and staff.
