Office of Doctoral Studies

The Urban Education Ph.D. program has been designed to prepare persons capable of applying current methodology, research and knowledge to the problems of education in a contemporary urban society. Students in the program are, or intend to become, teachers, administrators or other professional personnel in schools, community colleges, colleges or universities; trainers in business or industry; allied health educators, professionals in social and community agencies; teacher educators; and educational policy planners.

 

Your gift  will support the Ph.D. in Urban Education: Graduate Student Travel Fund which aids students in:

  • Attending professional conferences - an important part of a doctoral student's professional socialization.  

  • Affording the opportunity to attend symposia, present their own work, and network with others in the field is invaluable.

  • Supplementing the student travel support that CSU is currently able to provide - students will be better able to afford to go to conferences with your support.  

Contributing to this dedicated fund for Urban Education doctoral students at Cleveland State is a great way to give back!
